FREE4LIB at eMobility World Congress 2023
The eMobility World Congress 2023 has transformed Valencia into the place where the strategy of the mobility sector in Europe is defined, with over 344 speakers, 179 exhibitors firms, 119 national and international media and supporting partners and 5.794 registered visitors from 16 different countries.
During the three-days event, the eMobility Expo has become a knowledge forum to develop the market, boost our industry and reimagine together the future of mobility. Our FREE4LIB project had the great opportunity to be presented to this audience in a one hour session in which we coincided with experts in Circular Economy from ITC, INESCOP and ITE to discuss about "battery manufacturing and recycling" under the moderation of Mr Rushab Shah from Ricardo. The session was very well received and the auditorium was almost full.
In addition to the presentation of FREE4LIB, we have had the opportunity to debate on Battery Passports and to question their need. Battery Passports could indeed, help us properly track the traceability of materials in the value chain of Lithium-Ion batteries, which will facilitate the change of business model based on a linear economy of consumption and waste to the circular economy model that we advocate from the project.
Our project was also presented during a session dedicated to BATTECH, the reference center to cover all the R&D&I of the battery ecosystem in southern Europe promoted by Eurecat and IREC, both partners of our consortium. The initiative is part of the concept of sustainable mobility, with special attention to the study of new energy storage formulas to pave the way for the introduction of the electric vehicle.
We want to warmly thank our colleagues from CARTIF and EUROBAT for their great involvement during the Congress and for the presentation of our project during the Congress!
