TREASURE (leading the TRansition of the European Automotive SUpply chain towards a circulaR futurE) is a 3-year- Research and Innovation Action co-funded by the European Commission under the H2020 programme willing to offer new opportunities for testing innovative technologies to make the automotive sector more circular, with a particular focus on electronic components. It involves 15 partners from six EU and one extra-EU countries. It started in June 2021 and will end in May 2024.
FREE4LIB and TREASURE share the same passion for circularity transition in the Automotive industry, a necessary step to make the sector more sustainable. They focus each on the two main sources for recovery of precious and critical materials from cars: Li-Ion batteries for FREE4LIB and electronics for TREASURE.
POLIMI is present in both projects: as project coordinator in TREASURE and a direct involvement in four different Work Packages, and as task leader for activities related to exploitation, business modelling and IPR strategies in WP6. NEXTMOVE is also partner of both the projects, with role of clustering leader in TREASURE and involvement in dissemination activities in FREE4LIB.
